Chapter 6: Things have changed
((Reader's POV))
All was quiet in your house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mo--
"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEE--" Whistled the teapot as the water inside it boiled and rolled, spilling over the lid and sizzling on the hot stove top. Loud thumps were heard as you came racing down the stairs and rounded the corner sharply and nearly fell as you scrambled into the kitchen.
"SHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT--," You grumbled as you reached the boiling pot. Picking up the hot pot by it's handle, you moved it off the burner and onto a cooler one, snapping off the stove heat as you did. You had set the water to boil earlier and intended to make some tea, but had gotten distracted and had totally forgotten about it.
You were currently on your holiday vacation from school and your parents were still out on their cruise. With the holidays getting closer, it was a bit lonely being in a big, empty house all by your lonesome, but you really didn't mind it. Your parents had called earlier and sent their holiday wishes, along with the message that you would be getting a present from them, which you were looking forward to.
As you set the boiling pot down some of the water sloshed over onto your hand.
"OW!" You yelled, setting the pot down quickly. Rushing over to the sink, you shoved your burning hand under the faucet and turned on the cold water and felt relief as the cold hit your red hand.
Just then the doorbell rang and you jumped in surprise. You weren't expecting anybody to visit today. Shutting of the stream of water, you dried your hands on a towel and hurried toward the door.
"I'm coming!" You called as you approached the door. Stopping for a moment to gather yourself, you took a deep breath and opened the door with a smile. "Hello," You greeted cheerfully, "How may I help y-- ... M-Mr. Honda?" You paled as you realized the figure was in fact your foreign teacher. "W-What are you doing here?!"
Kiku chuckled and smiled. "Herro, (Name)."

((Kuro's POV))
((Kuro's POV))
Kuro sighed as he walked along the snowy streets in his human form. He knew he should be sleeping and regaining his strength, but he had spent the last three days doing just that. He needed a change of scenery, and so here he was- out in the cold with nothing to do.
Vaguely he thought of (Name) and found himself unconsciously traveling in the direction of her home. By the time he realized this though, he was already standing in front of the gates that blocked the path to her home. He saw that the light were on, indicating that she was home and he felt the strong urge to go and see her. However, he realized that it would seem very strange for him to suddenly show up at her home when he hadn't even asked her where she lived before.
Sighing, Kuro glanced down at his feet and noticed a small object out of the corner of his eye. Stooping down, he picked up the small squarish object and dusted the snow off of it so he could see the label on it's side. At the very to was (Name)'s name, along with her address printed below it. He figured that the mailman had delivered it earlier this morning and that (Name) had yet to go and retrieve it. He doubted that she would though- not in this type of weather at least, so maybe he could bring it to her?
Putting the small box in his coat, he pushed through the gate and trudged up her door. Taking a deep breath, he reached out and tapped the doorbell and waited. "I'm Coming!" He heard (Name) call moments later. He heard footsteps thumping inside the house just before the door knob turned and the door opened. (Name) appeared on the other side, her (h/l) (h/c) falling in front of her face a bit, obscuring those (e/c) eyes he adored so much. She was wearing a baggy white sweater and some blue jeans. Casual, yet warm.
"Hello," She greeted cheerfully, though slightly out of breath, "How may I help y-- " (Name) stopped and her eyes widened as she took him in, "... M-Mr. Honda?!" She exclaimed, her face visible paling. Obviously, she wasn't expecting him to visit. "W-What are you doing here?!"
Kuro couldn't help but chuckle at her expression before he smiled warmly at her. "Herro, (Name)," he greeted, and waited as she just stood there, gawking at him. After a few silent moments, he shifted slightly and cleared his throat. "Is something wrong, (Name)?" He asked with fake concern, playing the part of the soft and caring teacher he was pretending to be. (Name) seemed to shake herself as she blinked.
"Hmm, oh, yeah! Uh, w-would you like to come in, K-Kiku?" She asked almost unsure, stepping to the side to make room for him. Kuro smiled, happy that he was being invited in. "Yes, thank you," he said with a nod and stepped inside as (Name) closed the door behind him. She went back into the kitchen as Kuro took off his jacket and hung it up. Walking into the living room, he sat down on the couch and leaned back, crossing his legs and looking around while he waited for (Name).
Kuro was also dressed casually today, and wore a black turtle neck and some dark jeans. As he was a demon, black attire was his normal wear over any other color. Helped him blend into the shadows more.
Within a few minutes, (Name) returned to the living room with two steaming cups in hand. Kuro sat up as she approached and set the cup down in front of him on the coffee table and sat next to him on the couch, clutching her own cup in her hand. "It's tea," she said quietly without looking at him, "To warm you up."
Kuro smiled and reached out for the cup, picking it up and taking a sip of the warm liquid. "Thank you," he said, and the two of them sat there in silence for a bit, sipping their tea. When Kuro finished, he set the cup back down on the table and cleared his throat, turning to (Name).
"I actuar'y have a reason for being here today," he said quietly, and (Name) glanced at him. "You do?" She questioned, and Kuro nodded. Getting up from the couch, he went and retrieve the box from his coat before sitting back down, offering it to her with an outstretched hand. "I found this outside, buried in the snow."
(Name) glanced from him to the box before setting her cup down slowly and reaching out to take the box from him. Turning the box in her hands, she said, "It must be the gift my parents said they were sending me." (Name) opened the box carefully and pulled out another, smaller box with a lid on it from inside. As she took the lid off of the second box, her face lit up and a smile spread across her face as she reached in and pulled out a silver necklace. A small (favorite flower) pendant hung from it.
"Oh, its so pretty!" She breathed softly as she examined it. Kuro smiled and slid over to her, taking the necklace from her and reaching around to put it on her. (Name) automatically lifted her hair for him so that he could latch the small hook onto the chain. Leaning back a bit when he had it latched, Kuro observed (Name) as she dropped her hair and admired the small flower pendant that now hung from her neck. Turning to him, she smiled.
"Isn't it pretty, Kiku?" She said, and Kuro watched as the smile faded from her face and a blush spread across it when she realized that their faces were only inches apart. For a heartbeat, neither of them said or did anything, but then Kuro slowly began to lean closer, closer...
Suddenly, there was a loud beeping noise from upstairs and Kuro pulled back, slightly annoyed at the interruption. "I, um, b-better go check t-that," (Name) Stuttered, and got up quickly and thumped up the stairs. Kuro watched her go and sighed. So close, and yet so far.
Getting up off of the couch, Kuro wandered about the living room and looked at all of the pictures that hung on the wall. Many of them depicted (Name) with what he assumed was her parents. He stopped in front of one particular one where it depicted her holding some (favorite flower)s, the same type as the one that was engraved on her pendant. Just as he reached out for the picture, a sudden shriek came from upstairs and he froze. Turning slowly, he looked up at the stairs where (Name) had gone.
"...(Name)?" He called uncertainly. Maybe she had just scared herself or something and it was no big deal. However, his hopes were crushed when he heard her scream "HELP ME!!" a few moments later. Snarling, he took of up the stairs, frantic to reach her.
"(NAME)!!"

I ended up losing my journal for a couple days. I just found it sitting on the floor in between some crates in the far back of the room a few minutes ago, so I'm not sure. How many days have gone by, I don't know.
The chanting has stopped ever since I went to the back of the room. Maybe it only starts up when I'm closer to the door? I guess I'll just sit back here then, but most of my supplies are up near the front of the room, so I can't just starve myself to stop that guy's chanting.

(Name) returned to her house and kicked off her shoes to the side of the door, then stopped before going anywhere.

If I had only listened to Elizaveta, then I wouldn't be in this situation and he wouldn't be in danger.

'What the-?!'
(Name) turned around and twisted the brass doorknob, trying to yank the door open. She had no luck; the door was jammed shut.
Her eyes caught some words etched in to the blackened wood of the door through the dark. Before she could scoot closer to see them, she felt a pair of hands against the front of her shoulders and was forcefully shoved backwards to fall on her back. The breath was knocked out of her, and was instead replaced with a surge of fear that made her body feel like it was assaulted with freezin

Hehe, I can still remember the day he tried to scare me away by putting that blood on those walls. I don't know why, but he was real quiet for a bit after that.
Not much has changed in the past few hours. I'm so cold, and I can't do anything to get myself warm again... I bet my handwriting looks like absolute crap.

When (Name) came to, she felt as if there was an icy blanket draped over her shoulders and wrapping around her curled up figure. Her eyes blinked open and looked down, only to find that she was still without any covers, laid on the ground in the fetal position.
'Holy crap, I'm still alive! I thought for sure that
